    Scientist in Section of Engineering Geology and Hydrogeology from the Department of Geotechnical Engineering, Szczecin University of Technology. He was born on 19th March 1954. He graduated from Gdańsk University in 1979 achieving the title of master science in geography, specializing in geomorphology and marine geology. The final examination of the doctor’s thesis took place in March 1988 at the Maria Curie-Skłodowska University in Lublin.Since 1985 He is an academic teacher and researcher in Department of Geotechnical Engineering in Technical University of Szczecin and since 2009 in West Pomeranian University of Technology, Szczecin. He is working in engineering geology and He is also a coastal and marine geologist.


DIRECTIONS OF SCIENTIFIC ACTIVITY

A. COASTAL AND MARINE GEOLOGY

1. Geomorphology and geology of the bottom of the Baltic Sea.
2. Geomorphology and geology of the coastal zone of the Baltic Sea.
3. Holocene evolution of the Baltic.
4. Lithostratigraphy and lithology of the coastal deposits of the Baltic Sea.
5. Changes of sea-levels of the Baltic Sea in Holocene and its connections with .fluctuations of the World Ocean.
6. Research on the problem of cyclicity of the transgressive and regressive processes of the World Ocean.

B. ENGINEERING GEOLOGY AND HYDROGEOLOGY

1. Engineering-geological research of  the western Pomerania area for the industrial building.
2. Engineering-geological research of the western Pomerania area for the communal building.
3. Hydrogeological research of the Quaternary deposits of the western Pomerania.

C. SEISMIC AND SEISMOACUSTIC INVESTIGATIONS

1. Application of microseismic investigations in determining of the thickness of weak grounds for building (made grounds and organic soils).
2. Application of microseismic investigations in determining of the thickness of subsoils, which are good for building.
3. Application of seismic investigations in determining of the weak zones in the area of river embankments.
4. Application of microseismic investigations in the hydrogeological research.
5. Microseismic investigations of the coastal zone of the Baltic Sea.
6. Microseismic investigations of the floor of lakes.
7. Seismoacustic investigations of the bottom of the Baltic Sea.
